QR code for the queue is inside at the counter. There was a very long queue, we came for the first time to try the food. One old man just cut all the way to the front to get the queue number at the counter QR first. There was nobody there to help manage the queue for the Q number. They also put the QR at the left side where the people already made reservations should queue. I think its a very bad management, seems like they dont have alot of customers to be expecting a long queue. We and a few other groups of people left after experiencing this. We did not try the food.
Service are relatively prompt with wide variety of different Japanese food for selection.
Had their newly released lunch omakase! It was affordable despite being at CBD area. Chef kar choon was engaging, and even cracked jokes, making the entire dining experience pleasant and memorable! Food was fresh and awesome! Will definitely be back!
Food was excellent, and went well with sake. Urchin was market price , so...anyways, the taste was wow...Was not a fan of the mango sushi...Service was efficient.Tables were placed very close to each other, so there you have no choice but to listen to your neighbours talk when you are just happy to quietly savour the food...
One of my favourite Japanese restaurants in the city. Food is good quality. Price is not exorbitant. Tried the seasonal peach sorbet was and in love with it. They freeze a whole peach and the sorbet was just the right about of sweetness. Also, really love their tamagoyaki here. Hot green tea was served when we sat down and quickly refilled throughout our meal. Service was fast and responsive. Reservations usually recommended during peak hours, otherwise you can try walk in. I got lucky as many of walk ins before me all cancelled or left, so I got a seat pretty quickly.
Good food & great service. Food was served fast & staff were friendly too. A little pricey but it’s ion so it’s expected I guess ! Will visit again.
My 2nd time visiting Sen-Ryo. I didn’t have to wait for long since I was there alone for lunch. They have good lunch sets. Food quality was great. Staff were helpful. It was a good experience overall. However, I felt there was a lack in ambience for lunch compared to dinner. For better ambience, I would choose dinner, anytime! We were blessed to get seats walked in for dinner the last time but I saw from reviews that some have rsvp for months prior to visiting. 🙂
The food is good, great sushi with fresh ingredients, hearty sukiyaki and a nice selection of kushiyaki. The sushi platter is especially value for money during weekday lunch. Service was a bit hit or miss because the room setup is a little funky, with a few corner seats that might not be frequently visited by the staff so it was hard to get their attention sometimes, even though they are generally helpful. The interior is well designed but the dome shape of the wall seems to amplify the sounds, so people talking in the corner seat can be heard by the entire room. Either that, or all 3 times we were dining in, we dined with an exceptionally loud crowd. The bar seat didn't seem to have this problem, though. Overall still a decent experience in the heart of ION.
Food was decent. However was very disappointed by the service. Front counter staff told my group to wait at the corner (my guess is because we were young looking?) and proceeded to serve multiple groups that were behind us first, only started entertaining my group after seeing how upset we were. Later on, another staff refused to provide my group with an extra bowl of soup (we were a group of 3 and only 2 bowls were provided). I would have expected a much higher standard of service for a restaurant of such reputation.
Had dinner 1st March. Has a high class look.Seated at counter. However food quality was disappointing with the exception of the sashimi appetiser. Sake was decent. Sushi rice had NO taste - did they use normal short grain rice without mirin……seriously I had better sushi rice from Isetan takeaway (that should be the base standard)Service was pretty decent but I won’t be back. It’s a dressed up below average Izakaya.
The ambience of the restaurant is really nice and there are a few sections to this place. There is a bar area and also a grilling area.Overall I would say the sashimi is fresh and worth the price, sushi is tasty with right amount of vinegar. The cooked food are more of a hit and misses. The grilled chicken in hotpan is nice. The rest is just average. Reservations is a must as they are fully booked usually. Try once and see if it’s to your liking for the price!
This Japanese restaurant on the third floor of ION on Orchard Road is very popular. It is risky to walk in without making a reservation in advance. Last time we walked in, we were told that there would be no seats until the restaurant closed for the day. This time I made a reservation obediently, but was told again and again that the dining time was only ninety minutes.I ordered my favorite Dassai 2/3 wine and chose a cup to drink from. Two-thirds is softer and I can still drink a little. A friend ordered a dish and had some new experiences.The sashimi is good, all fresh, I like the tuna belly and peony shrimp. Not enough sea urchin sushi. I quite like the chicken cake with mentaiko sauce. The sweet mentaiko in the chicken cake has a bit of a salty taste.I was quite surprised by the chicken on the iron plate. The chicken was delicious, especially tender and juicy. The skin had a charcoal grilled flavor. The yuzu sauce was a little sour to relieve greasiness.There are two side dishes for drinking, the edamame is fresh, and the other seems to be heated jerky, but it is very soft, not dry, and chewy, especially suitable for drinking.Finally, I ordered soft-shell crab with mango roll and dipped in mango sauce. I thought it was quite interesting, and the soft-shell crab was very fresh.All in all, the quality of the food is good, and the price is considered affordable among Japanese food, which is very good in Singapore. But the overall price/performance ratio is still far behind that of Japan.
My go-to japanese restaurant for birthday celebration! The staff there are very friendly and serve you with a smile all the time. Lila is very nice, always a pleasure to visit!
2nd time back here and the aircon is still so damn cold to the point of freezing even when drinking hot tea and wearing a jacket. Will not return even though food is ok.
My recent visit to Sen Ryo Ion Orchard left me with mixed feelings. While the restaurant undoubtedly serves good sushi, my overall experience was marred by multiple issues.Firstly, my initial order was not recorded, leading to a frustrating situation. Despite realizing the missing items promptly, placing a subsequent order resulted in a 15-minute wait due to a failure in order registration. To make matters worse, my second order was completely forgotten by the waitress, adding to the overall disappointment.Though the waitress who took my orders did offer apologies, the interactions lacked sincerity, and it seemed like she was evading the conversation.
I always went thr for sake don (salmon don) which is smtg off-menu but the kitchen able to make upon request. This time my visit was unpleasant as the staff dont even bother to check with the kitchen on the sake don request and just directly told me what i had before was mayb smtg seasonal. Food and environment wise its nice~ but probably wont visit anymore 🙁
Over rated. We waited for a sushi platter for 30mins after the waiter told us that need 5-6mins more. The table next to us ask for their sushi platter as well and get it within 5mins. Will nv come again. Terrible experience. Food ok but the service was terrible, ordered supreme shushi platter & waited an hour, but came deluxe shushi platter. No choice but to accept the wrong order out of hunger. Would not come back again
Had a wonderful experience at Ion Orchard branch. Greeted by friendly floor supervisor, Lee. Food is superb, prepared by friendly kitchen crew namely Kok Wai, Zeno, Choon and Mun Hing! Will definitely visit again. We would say it’s worth the wait! ☺️
Food was average mediocre. Always wanted to come for Uni, but on two occasions months apart both time they tell me Uni is unavailable. Curious to know isit I’m unfortunate or their Uni supply is very limited and inconsistent. And also when I arrived at the table I asked if there’s anything unavailable the server first told me everything’s available, thereafter I placed orders, he came back to tell me oh Uni & desserts are not available anymore, which was like less then 5 mins apart…
Food was great! But service was average. Waited for my soba for 45 mins and my wife had already finished her main course. Asked the server about my order and they replied they already chase the kitchen and they’re not sure what is going on.
This is my favorite Japanese restaurant with my friends. Lots of choices and prices are reasonable. The environment is clean and the service is very good! However, due to the very good business, it is necessary to make reservations nearly a month to 3 months in advance.Service, and food are always so good!😁Reasonable prices and friendly service are the reasons why I keep coming back to the restaurant

Nice food. Nice restaurant design which provides more privacy. Might be a little dark for some but I like it. Try the premium otoro. It’s very good. We also liked the Hamachi Kama Shio Yaki and the Ikura sushi. Do try to make reservations ahead of time or you may have to wait 10-30 minutes for a table.

He is enjoying his service job , and we are first time here , he also recommended a lot food. I had the pleasure of dining at 千両 Sen-ryo in ION Orchard, a friend of mine treating for my birthda🥰, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed by their dishes. The Grilled Squid Ikayatori was simply awesome – fresh and tender, it melted in my mouth. The Grilled Chicken Thigh in charcoal style sauce was equally delightful, bursting with flavor and incredibly yummy.I also enjoyed the ねぎま, which featured delicious mushrooms that added a delightful earthy flavor to the dish. The Premium Sashimi Platter was a highlight of the meal, showcasing the freshest and juiciest selection of sashimi I’ve had in a while. And let’s not forget the Soft Crab Roll – chewy and soft, it was a perfect blend of textures and flavors.Overall, my dining experience at 千両 Sen-ryo was exceptional, thanks to the quality of the dishes and the attentive service. Attitude of service staff could be better. Everyone seems to be super busy but not really attentive to the customers. Fortunately the food quality was good.
Amazing food and service. Had made a reservation for a Saturday 2 months in advance since it was always full the past few times I had tried to book.First of all, the fish and seafood was very fresh and I could taste the different profiles for each fish.The rice was also really good it was perfectly seasoned but was also soft and sticky.We ordered a 11 piece sushi platter, a trio tuna don and 4 Ala carte sushi which came up to about $120 for 2 people. Of course a little expensive but worth every penny!

Felt like they trying to rush us to leave when I was only 30 mins into my meal. So fast wanna clear my plates. Sashimi not very fresh. Felt so catfished by this place.

Love the cosy ambience and food! Highly recommend the sashimi, Mango soft shell crab sushi (super unique!) and the black sesame mochi dessert! The squid legs were nicely charred, but felt that the body was too hard. For the tamago, it was average but love the Mentai sauce which tasted authentic unlike those mayo ones outside. Everything from the food to the sauce were fresh and good quality. Would be back to try other dishes and the matcha mochi dessert. 🤤 service was also not bad!On my second visit, ordered the supreme sushi platter. The sushi melts in the mouth. It’s highly recommended!
The sushi is very good, but the place is pricey. The other items i tried: unajyu, fried softshell crab, one of the nabe dishes are solid but unimpressive (i’ve had better renditions elsewhere). An above average restaurant with above average pricing.
Went during lunch around 12.30pm. Very crowded so better make a reservation before going down. Variety of Set Lunch to choose from the menu. Ordered the premium bento set and the food is Excellent. The set lunch price is very reasonable. Will be back again.

Astonishing…it’s good to order fromThe menu not to go extra mile to the catch for the day .. fish was not sweet neither taste of fish - this is the only upset . The foods is real nice, drink sake can be improved not hot enough, waiter warm it few rounds . This is Japan HK foods , you get one nice one in HK too
Dined here twice with both visits being memorable (the high rating is well deserved) due to the wonderful food and attentive staff.For our latest visit, we had the supreme sushi platter, grilled chicken thigh with charcoal style sauce plus an assortment of other sushi items all of which were divine. Don't think you can go wrong with any of their sushi items to be honest.As we were celebrating a birthday, the restaurant gave us a complimentary crepe cake which was very light and delicious! Ended up trying their black sesame ice cream with mochi crisp because of the cake and was not disappointed as well!We will definitely be back to try their mains as we've seen other guests ordering those!
I got it why this restaurant is always fully booked. If you want to enjoy suggest come on weekday afternoon instead as weekend restaurant can be busy crowd and service can be a little slow but managable. Food wise cheap, and high quality everything is so fresh from raw food to fried food. Ambience also nice for any celebration. Will come back again for lunch time when less crowd 👍🏾

Went slightly more than a month ago for dinner, and although it was difficult to get a table, we managed to reserve one.Been there a few times where Boon was the server for our table. He was very hospitable, allowing my family to feel comfortable and at ease. He remembers the items my family likes to go for as well, and is able to make great recommendations based on what we like. Highly recommend.

Talking about inconsistent service and silly practice, this is probably IT.1st visit - good.2nd visit - made to queue + they came back with the QR q-code altho most clients stil unknowingly queued up physically (to create a "much sought after and scarcity feel, most newbie fomo will fall for this; Nope - they did tis on my visit and the place was NOT even Half-filled).Im someone who could not dine without alcohol and was surprised how not a single soul ordered sake at that place!Upon seeing my displeasure and the queue dispersed, they front desk then shouted acrossed (i was about to leave after picking my girl from the ladies) if i still wish to dine. Of course NOT. Such poor and dubious service!AVOID AT ALL COST.

Makes you wait 1 hour for a table when there are many open tables inside. Open tables never got filled throughout my entire meal. Trying to make it seem popular, fraudulent. Service slow too
Was lucky to be able to make a reservation two days before for a weekday lunch. The sushi set which came with chawanmushi, miso soup and seaweed salad was not bad. Saw that some had to wait 1 hour in the line but to be honest, I don’t think the food is so fantastic to the extent that I would queue for more than 15 mins. Like what many others have pointed out, service was inconsistent -1. I was not asked whether I needed any tea/water when I was being seated but the diners next to me were being asked. I had to ask for water halfway through my meal when I got thirsty.2. I noticed that the waiters/waitresses filled up other diners’ saucers with soy sauce after they were being seated but mine wasn’t filled up. I had to ask for soy sauce a while after my food was served.Not that the above are big issues but I thought since all diners are paying the same quantum of service charge, the least we can expect is to receive equal level of service. Can’t help but to wonder was it because I was a solo diner who was spending less than others who were in pairs and bigger groups and this called for minimal service to be provided? 🤷🏻♀️

Presentation excellent, but somehow not at the top of favourite japanese restaurant.All the dishes were good especially the the Wagyu Sukiyaki, Oyako Don, Fried Kaki , charcoal grilled chicken thigh.The Zaru Soba was mediocre.
Excellent Japanese restaurant located in the heart of Orchard Road. Impossible to get a seat if you dont make a reservation at least a week ahead. Walk-ins are more often than not, subject to a wait list of almost 1 hour.Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. Service was always impeccable as the service staff are a cut above the rest.A good choice for a meal if you can book in advance or are lucky enough to walk-in and get a seat promptly. Otherwise, there are plenty of other good options in the shopping mall!
Always a gd experience dining here. Food is good. Love the charcoal grilled chicken. Fresh sashimi also. Grilled squid is tasty but too much (we are just 2 pax) gives u a tired jaw.
Great food quality and fast service 👍 Sen-ryo is one of my favorite spots for occasional indulgence in Japanese cuisine. The garlic beef skewers, spicy salmon sushi and green tea mochi are simply delightful. It is no wonder the restaurant is always fully booked, so remember to call in advance.
The guy serving me and my friends was friendly and suggested some amazing dishes for us. Sadly, I only took one pic of the dish and the guy serving us.
I really love the food served & the price point is acceptable, plus there's many many choices available in their menu. Every food we ordered so far had been hits and we came twice.Service also very good & attentive..but I really hope they can improve on the speed & flow of items served. 1) I purposely ordered grilled hamachi collar w rice for the kids to eat first before waiting for the adults to be ready to order anything else.. the plain rice came, along w many other dishes that the adults ordered later, but the grilled collar came when my kids finished the plain rice. 2) we ordered beef sukiyaki & oyster hot pot, both only came about 10mins after we finished all the other food (we ordered a variety of sashimi, sushi, tempura, fried oysters, noodles) and clearly the food in both hot pots needed time to cook but probably easiest to prep in the kitchen cos just throw all uncooked food in the pots & served. So all other food finished & cleared, we waited 10mins for these 2 hot pots while the kids started to fuss, and then after served we still had to wait for the food to be cooked, everyone was just awkwardly waiting...I mean if this served earlier we could have left the veg inside to cook while we eat other dishes first..?But the oysters hot pot was so good, it tasted very oyster-y but not in the fishy smelly kind of way, it was honestly very good. Their sushi & sashimi also fresh & juicy. Their small dishes of tempura etc were all affordable priced & great tasting.I honestly love this place & my kids love the food too.

Really admire the care they put into making the food, even their lunch sets. The tempura prawn maki was so crispy. Appreciate the service too. Despite being busy, they were polite, kind and helpful.
Nice classy environment for couple date or with friends. Good place to impress your other half without burning a hole in the pocket. Must make reservation at least weeks before going down. We were lucky to get a table during a weekday late lunch after a 45min waiting time. Impeccable service and very good quality food. Food were well presented. Very likely to return to dine again, but of course need to arrange reservation weeks ahead to avoid disappointment.
I haven’t even started eating their food yet, but the waiter outside is very rude! I called to make a reservation and they told me they wouldn't make a reservation for me and asked me to go there. It was 10 minutes away and they told me they wouldn't pick up the call. When I think about it, my stomach gets angry. The point is! The tone of speech is really bad!

Ventured into Sen-ryo for a spontaneous dinner date sans reservation and very fortunately, there was a table but highly recommend making a reservation to avoid disappointment. The dining experience, marked by impeccable service and an exquisite culinary journey, featured standout dishes like tuna belly, salmon belly, kingfish, charcoal-grilled chicken thighs, unagi, and foie gras sushi. The price was very reasonable given the location and quality of ingredients. Sen-ryo, an unplanned indulgence that turned into a tasteful evening to remember.
The otoro / chutoro was so juicy! Tried their signature tamago (with mentaiko sauce) - sweet, slightly umami & moist. We ordered the grilled fish which was very well smoked! Ika teriyaki (squid) & gyu don were alright
Service staff asked me how was the food and I said the cheesecake was frozen hard, and she said yah it is … 77th minute asked to leave saying 90 minutes up and that there were actual people waiting for table, but restaurant wasn’t full and when I walked out no one was waiting … initially positive but not returning anymore

Really very nicely done.Prices overall was acceptable, reasonable and no need to break the bank.Ok now the food. The egg was nice, smooth and soft.Sushi was good and the for the chicken, i was expecting it to be more tender and softer than what i got.For the Tenderloin, sorry but it was a total disappoinment.Looks very nice for plating and presentation but really wasnt as nice as i totally thought. We had removed it from the hotplate to prevent over cooking but the meat wasnt as tender as we hope.Had booked 1.5 mths beforehand and got this on a off peak Tuesday.I wouldnt wait just for this. Had read people saying 1 hour wait needed but not for me.

Had to wait 45mins for a Friday lunch. First the good. Food was as good as it looked: steak was so fatty yet so juicy, and sushi lunch set was sumptuous for a fair price.What could improve was the inconsistent table service. We were seated at the sushi bar counter near the door. It was tough to get any waiting staff’s attention, that we had to ask the ones preparing food for help a few times. Then we had our sushi delivered wrongly 2x. Finally when i asked for the bill, i was pointed to “somewhere” at the back to settle it. Which was weird, since I didn’t expect it of a restaurant of this ilk, and also they had earlier brought the bill to the customers next to us.
Every time I visit Sen-ryo in ION, I am drawn by Kok Wai’s exceptional skills in preparing delicious Japanese skewers. His expertise in the art of Kushiyaki is truly commendable and has consistently made our dining experience enjoyable. In additional to that, his humorous and engaging communication style adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall dining atmosphere and making each visit memorable. Kudos to Kok Wai and the team 👍👍👍
Visited Sen-Ryo in ION Orchard and had a great experience. The sushi was excellent, showcasing fresh flavors and skillful preparation. The atmosphere was inviting and well-balanced, perfect for enjoying a meal. The staff provided excellent service, being both attentive and knowledgeable. Highly recommend for a quality sushi experience in Singapore.
The quality and taste of the food are good, and the location is relatively cost-effective.Personally, I prefer their sushi and grilled birds. I ordered crab after reading online recommendations. The taste was not as good as expected. It was a bit fishy and salty. It may be a matter of personal taste.Foie gras sushi is very fragrant.The seasonal desserts are very nice. Inside is a smoothie. It would be even better if it was ice cream.

There’s a reason why this restaurant is highly rated with thick slabs of sashimi, well seasoned dishes and amazing plating. Came during lunch without a reservation and joined the virtual queue. Managed to get a seating in 30 mins.Two things I was disappointed in:- I ordered the platter which had a mix of warm and cold dishes. The warm dishes were cold/ lukewarm at best and it’s a shame to not appreciate good food right after it has been prepared.- service left much to be desired starting with front of house having a strong RBF, lack of attentiveness from staff on drinks needing to be replenished, food came out at very different times, stingy on soya sauce and it takes awhile to get the attention of anyone.
So happy to see this at Suntec … ion outlet is so hard to book / always like their food and services … was served by Amirul. He is so friendly … will definitely come again….
Yesterday (8/11/23), I went with my mother to eat lunch. I ordered 2 makis to much first but it was quite slow to reach the table as I noticed the couple that came in later than me and ordered after me got their food first and a lady that was sitting on my right that order chawamushi got it before me as well, so I had to ask the waiter to check on it for me. Another thing was that I ordered the Tempura Udon set at the same time as my mother and her's came out faster as it was a simpler dish but mine did not come out after that and everyone else in the restaurant got their food, so I had to AGAIN ask the waiter to check on the food for me. I appreciate that at the end the waiter apologised for the delay in the food and we got a free dessert. Please train and check on your waiters on the timing to serve the food as it is ridiculous that it takes so long to bring like 6 makis to the table.

food is honestly great, affordable and nicely presented.TLDR the service was not up to expectations and lacked in many areas.took a queue number and waited for a while, then we were directed to the table near the front of the entrance. first thing we noticed was how hot it was, no ventilation almost, but unfortunately our request to change to anywhere cooler was declinedwhen we wanted to order, a staff was being rather direct and blunt to direct another female waitress "eh" to come and take out order, which the waitress then spoke loudly in response to the staff not addressing her by her name or in a nicer tonewhen we wanted the bill, the male staff again went to ask someone else to settle the bill, which we were rather confused about as to why the waiter couldnt simply do the tasks himselfwill come back next time but hopefully we get better seats and better service!
Was fortunate enough to get a table for two without reservations as we arrived before 5pm. Really enjoyed the premium sushi platter, grilled tenderloin, and avacado kombu. Also ordered a California hand roll, negitoro hand roll, and azari miso soup, which were ok. Overall, found the food quality excellent.
Officially my FAV Japanese restaurant in Singapore 🥹 I mean I knew from the reviews that this places serves affordable yet 🌟high quality🌟 dishes but I was still blown away when I experienced it myself. Gotta thank the bf for securing a reservation for my birthday celebration 🫶🏻 we ordered mostly fresh sashimi and their signature deluxe sushi platter and they were out of this world. The chawan mushi was one of the best I’ve tried as well. They even served us a complimentary cake for my birthday ❤️ As for the ambience, expect a luxurious high end Japanese restaurant with zen feels as you walk in. Great and attentive service too from the staff who served us that day. Truly a pleasant dinner and will definitely come again ❤️

Ordered a 20pc deluxe sushi platter and came 14pcs on the plate. I asked the waitress if there were more coming as 6 pieces were missing in the ordered assortment. Instead of checking in the system or checking in the kitchen, the waitress asked me to show her a photo TO PROOF i didn’t consume anything on the plate. Ok, luckily I had a photo with me, and she TOOK MY PHONE and went into the kitchen to show the staff there. Omgggg, what a service! Food quality is good but never again for Senryo Singapore! U deserve 0 star in service as there is no apology as well.
Fresh sushi and sashimi at a reasonable price. Green tea was complimentary too! Service staff were polite and quick, and the restaurant interior was also pretty and cosy.

Walk-in with 1hr+ waiting time is reasonable, just take the queue number and wander around at Ion! Great ambience with authentic hot matcha served 🤩 My fav one goes to Chawanmushi - one of the best i’ve tasted. Second come to Wagyu Platter 🤤 Soba was standard. Sashimi Platter was however all thin-cut so don’t feel anything fancy but sweet-prawns were really fresh.
Very enjoyable experience at sen ryo. The pork asparagus skewer is really tasty. Service by Mak Kah Zhen was also excellent. Will definitely be back in the future :))

I came here mostly and I have to wait very long but end up I gave up waiting. This is my first time I can enjoy my experience here at sen ryo! I am very happy and I want to thanks peter (supervisor) he is really helpful and kind, explain the menu and recommend what is the nice food here. He let me experience my dinner at sen ryo! The food was really tasty and I can't wait to eat ! I want to thanks to the sushi chef I can't manage to catch his name. I will be back and I hope that the reservation will not be so long. Good service and good food!

Rubbish restaurant...we wanted to book ..they advised no need just walk in ..we arrived now at 1840hrs ..they tell waiting time of 45 mins.. where the logic
Finally managed to secure a reservation here, and it was well worth the wait. My wife and I had an incredible dining experience. The food was nothing short of awesome. From the first bite to the last, every dish was a flavorful masterpiece
Ordered the beef sukiyaki and it was so stinky that I could not eat it. The picture shown what was left in the bowl. Honestly, it’s disgusting
Visited this restaurant on Sunday evening. Got a table after a 30 min’s wait. Had good lunch experience at Sen Ryo previously but was very disappointed with the food quality and cooking this time.The tamago Yaki, their signature, was served cold inside with steam emitting as we cut it. Probably taken from fridge and microwaved before serving. It was hard and tasted stale.The whole deep fried soft shell crab was way too oily and dominated with a smell from poor quality or repeatedly used cooking oil.The yaki grilled meat was not freshly grilled. Appeared to be pre-cooked and heated up before serving. It was hard and lack the juiciness from freshly grilled meat.The nicest food turned out to be the soup udon, with very flavourful stock. Udon is not the chewy type but I love the soft and smooth texture.Hope the restaurant can maintain the consistency in the food preparation and not sacrifice the standard for convenience, especially serving chilled tamagoyaki and grilled yaki meat after re-heating.

We had dinner here on 7 Oct evening. We were served by Miss Lee Xian Yi, who made our experience here a wonderful one. Miss Lee is very friendly, professional and very attentive to all our needs. Will sure return again because of her service
dinner at senryo was amazing as usual, leo was very helpful and great with recommendations. botan ebi sashimi was extremely fresh! chawanmushi also hit all the right spots. the dessert always stole the show for me ✌️

Service was welcoming and attentive. Green tea or water is complimentary and free flow. Food selection is wide and served really quickly and almost all at the same time. Everything was delicious and priced affordably. Ambience is nice and cosy and feels a bit more upscale than what you pay for. Would definitely be back to try the rest of the menu if I manage to get another reservation slot!
I’ve been to Sen-ryo a couple of times and enjoy returning for their fresh sashimi. I am even willing to dine alone to eat here 🙂 The quality of food here is superb. I usually go for the sashimi, aburi sushi and uni temaki.As I was dining today, I overheard Chef Kok Wai recommending his grilled dishes and decided to try it. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of various skewers like the Kurobuta & asparagus, chicken wing and negima.Sen-ryo never fails to disappoint in the quality of food and I highly recommend to come here for Japanese food.
Food was mediocre and decently priced for a prime location. Ambience and cleanliness of the space was good as well.However, the turnover of a table apart from reservation time was underwhelming. The reservation we booked was 730pm/ table seating, the table was only released by 810-815pm. We did voiced out the relapse twice around 750pm before a manager/ supervisor came to address the matter. The mindset to seek our understanding bc they ‘can’t chase their customer out’ was a little warped. We only seek their assistance to ‘remind their patrons of the dining duration’ as another reservation is waiting in line.An extended goodwill of 10% off our bill and foc desserts were catered and we appreciate it. However, we hope it’s not something to be swept under and taken care lightly. The reviews were mainly circulating about the customer services hence it had been a common occurrence already.
The price/performance ratio is very good, the grilled chicken and grilled beef tenderloin are delicious, but the freshness of the sushi is slightly lacking.
Had to book 1.5 month in advance for a Friday dinner at Sen-Ryo. It was so worth the wait. This restaurant offers premium experience, good service and quality food at rather affordable price. A great place for anything sort of Japanese food as it offers a wide variety from sashimi, sushi, to tempura and sukiyaki.
Food is good but service staff are VERY RUDE and INPATIENT. I won’t come back for the food again bcos of the staff’s attitude. Pure RUDENESS

This restaurant is located at the side where all the luxurious brands are located. Very zen interior with bar counters as well we sushi counters. They have rooms that leads to more seatings. Food were beautifully displayed. Go for their weekday lunch set that you will not get it on weekends. Peach sorbet is a must order.

I was fortunate enough to obtain a reservation in the second seating this evening. Reservations are almost a necessity, at Sen Ryo.I would like to knowledge the team tonight, with special mention to Amirul and Chef Darren for taking care of my dinner party. The service was impeccable, with Amirul bursting up and down the aisle of the dining hall, tending to the seemingly endless orders and requests from appreciative dinners. His energy and passion never dipped throughout the evening.Chef Darren, despite the busy service session, managed to conjure up an array of dishes to cater to my dietary requirements. He came out to explain the creations for the evening, whilst ensuring that my guests were all well-fed! My only regret is being told that some of the dishes were not on the regular menu.I will be back again, as soon as I am successful with my next reservation. Meanwhile, please convey my appreciation and gratitude, especially to Amirul and Chef Darren.
10/10 in every aspect! Decided to try out this place for our anniversary celebration and we will definitely be back. Aside from the amazing meal, the service was what really brought our experience to the next level. Every single one of the staff working were so hospitable, I would especially like to commend Lila for making our night truly memorable. She made sure to check up on us throughout our time there and made our celebration so much more special.

I asked they came back said chef replaced with tai aka seabream told me better cut obviously not la 😎no big deal for me no need to say better cut & maybe should not inc engawa in the description..otherwise service very good polite attentive responsive😎
Came here for lunch. As we didn’t make prior reservations, we waited an hour to get a table. Recommend you make reservations before coming.All bar seatings, understand there’s a couple of rooms further back catering to bigger group seatings.The lunch set is only available on weekdays. Definitely worth checking it out.The sashimi is so good and fresh. Grill meat is well seasoned and done well.
Very nice ambience for special occasions with reasonable pricing for the service and the food quality! Wagyu was melt in your mouth tender and the sashimis were so fresh! Tampura is mediocre.Yuzu icecream is a must order! The presentation is very adorable and the taste is so refreshing
Well sought after place, you need some luck to get a booking here.. sashimi is as fresh as it can get and very reasonably priced for the cuts. Very good sushi and even their grills are great. The only slight thing to improve is probably the staff ratio to provide better service, they all seemed rather overwhelmed and can miss topping up our teas after reminders. Overall a good place to get your sashimi and a place I would come back to.
Reserved since Apr and finally got a weekend lunch slot in July. The ambience was pretty good, place looks expensive. But the food was just very average. Sushi platter was bland, bbq pufferfish was too sweet, grilled chicken that was recommended tasted like normal grilled chicken… soft shell crab in mango was bland. The nicest of all the dishes was the chawanmushi.
Food is exceptionally good. A memorable experience. However, when we ordered a second round of sushi platter, it never came. The order was missed out. By the time we waited, we were already full by then. We got the seat next to entrance, it was very difficult to get the staff for service. We needed to keep calling staff to refill our green tea. Recommend to book. We were timely asked to leave after 90 mins.
